What is the article about ?
the article is about a man named Dunn and he was 47 years old and he was found guilty for second degree murder. The jury couldn't come up with a decision and they were trying to give him the death sentence for the murder of this person he killed. The jury convicted it to attempt second degree murder for the gun fired at the people that were in the SUV with the person that was killed. At the end of the process they are still unsure about what they are going to do.
What is your opinion of this article ?
My opinion on this article is that if they have enough evidence to place him for the crime and they believe that he did it then he should be convicted and have some time but if you don't have enough information on the guy and no evidence tracing him back to this crime then he should not be charged for this crime.
How does this relate back to civics ?
This can relate back to civics because we just wrote a paper on similar facts on what happened in this case. Also we are learning about the criminal justice system and how the whole system work and how the whole process play out.

The article is about how people of the Ukraine want to leave but this doesn't sit well with Ukraine."U.S. President Barack Obama calling the proposed referendum a violation of international law". 5. What is your opinion of this article? My opinion on this article is that if people want to leave they should be able to do what they want to do. That is against their right to stop them from leaving some where where they want to leave they are basically be holding them against their will.

4)This article is about a man name Robert that have been investigated from a case from 30 years ago. Robert was a suspect in the case of murdering of Priscilla. Priscilla was beaten to death and her 17 year old son had found her. The police investigated because they had evidence, such as DNA and a fingerprint.
5) My opinion on this article is I think its crazy that Robert knew he was about to be arrested for the murdering of Priscilla. He must didn't want to be in jail with men because he probably lose control of himself.

4. What is the article about? This article was about a man named Edgar Coker Jr., who was convicted of rape as a 15 year old. During the case, the defendant took a plea deal in order to not risk a long sentence. After the plea was entered, the female victim admits to lieing. He was released early but his name was on a sex offender list and with that came harrassment by nieghbors. His conviction was eventually overturned by the supreme court after appeals.
5. What is your opinion of this article? I think it shows that the justice system has failed again because this man should not have served a day in jail for somethings he did not do.
6. How does this article relate to something you learned in Civics? We learned about Double Jeopardy and in this case, he can not be trialed for this case ever again in his life.

This article is about Sabein Burgess who was convicted of murdering his girlfriend about 20 years ago; however, he is not the murderer. The court discovered this after a man and his son told the truth and said that he helped as an accomplice for the murder of his girlfriend. Sadly, Burgess was taken in due to hastiness and poor cleanliness. The forensic lab was contaminated and not only ruined this but other cases as well. Also, Burgeuss fit the sterotypical criminal look and was sent to jail. It turned out that his girlfriend was murdered after a robbey in their home.
5. What is your opinion of this article?
Based on what I've learned and what I know, I am not surprised. This is because I believe our justice system is corrupt in general. The idea of police just trying to hurry up and finish a case angers me. It's not fair!
6. How does this article relate to something you learned in Civics?
In Civics, we learn many things about the justice system in order to prevent these kind of things from happening to us. The case itself didn't seem fair and wasn't thurough; however, based on what we learned in class, this is against out sixth amendment.

4. What is this article about? This article is about a man name Sabein Burgess who was accused of killing his girlfriend. He was arrested for 19 years then come to find out he was innocent. A man finally told that he was the killer after all these years then Sabein Burgess was set free.
5. What is your opinion? I feel bad for the man because he did not kill anyone and he was put in jail for 19 years for no reason at all. I feel as though 19 years in jail is a long time, especially if he was not guilty and did nothing wrong.

I think the new things & set ups should have been set in place a long time ago but the fact that they are being put in now is good and do what they are saying and prevent a lot of problems in the long run.

4) This article speaks of a man who was falsly accused of a sexual assault crime. He was misidentified by the victim in the investigation process. The artical main purpose was to state how the system is sketching up ways to prevent these tendicies from happening in further cases.
5) I think the prevention to make sure things are in order now is great. Yet, it shouldn't have taken so long for the system to get it right. Imagine all the people who suffered because of these "accidents".
