Article Title:Malala Yousafzai, Pakistani girl shot by Taliban, under new death threat
    Article Date:October 7th,2013
    Who:Malala Yousafzai,Pakistan Taliban
    Where:Pakistan
    When:October 7th,2013
What happened:Malala Yousafzai is being targeted again by the Pakistan Taliban after almost a year when she's been targeted for death by them. The leader of that group noted that they are not against her but only her ideology. He also noted that anyone who goes against their religion is their enemy and the crew will come after her again and again until they bring her down.
Why this event is relevant:This relates to the Pakistan government's system pertaining to education for women in that country. In Pakistan, men go to work and women stay home with their young so Malala is trying to stand up to the government's policy that states that women can't have an education.
Reaction: I felt hurt when women in Pakistan couldn't have a education like men have now. Also,I felt happy that Malala was standing up for women's right to an education.
Opinion: I think that the Taliban crew should kill themselves because they are really getting in Malala's way of getting women the rights that should already be natural rights.
Connection: This article shows the crisis that the Pakistan government is currently face with the outrageous ruling that women in that country can't be entitled to an education like men are.It was compelling to show because it shows a protagonist called Malala Yousafzai standing up for what's right rather than sitting back any longer and playing it safe of the government.

Article Title: President Obama: Shutdown Result 'ideological crusade

    Article Date: October 1, 2013
Who: President Obama, Democrats, and Republicans

    Where: Washington DC

    When: October 1, 2013

What happened: The government was shutting down which was causing more of such public goods like muesuems and such to shut down. The funding was being threatned to stop. Both political parties are pointing the finger and blaming eachother for the misfit. The republicans are trying to get a full defunding of the health care law as well as federal funding. "Obamacare" is the republicans main approach to blame Obama for this sherade.

Why this event is relevant: This is relevant because in the article it says if this process was to continue almost 800,000 people can lose their federal jobs. This can effect many families.

Reaction: I'm really stunned. I didn't know what to think or what it meant when I heard the government was shutting down. How is that even possible? It was really a misunderstanding to me, especially why the government would even want to do that to citizens.

Opinion: I think this is conpletely selfish for the Republicans to approach. They have little idea, actually I'm sure they are very aware of how many people are effected by this "shutdown". They are like children arguing, I cannot see the maturity.

Connection: I chose this article because it caught my attention. Also, this can maybe affect people that I know, my city, anything. Plus, it is very current and I would like to see how they resolve this.

Article title:Israel PM Netanyahu: Iran Pres. Rouhani is a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’

    Article date: October 3, 2013

    Who:
    •Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
    •Iranian cleric
    •Hassan Rouhani

    Where: Israel/Iran

When: it ranges from 2002 on up.

What happened? Both parties believe that the other is moving toward a place where they would have a abundant about of nuclear weapons so their leaders are speaking out and using different forms of political games to try to persuade out places that one is more right then the other and making threats of taking actions against the other if they do not start making their current actions or attempting to accumulate nuclear weapons the a stand still or stopping place.

Why is this relevant? This is relevant because while it may be unnecessary for the US to be almost a "big brother" to the entire world it still has taken that role so it will more than likely have to pick a side to act with at some point meaning that it's relationship with which ever party will be damaged.

Reaction: this makes me feel like we as a nation need to mind out own business more because the more bridges we our forced to burn meaning we will eventually put our foot in our own mouth for siding different ways for different people at different times.

Connection: I connect to this because I see the same thing among friends when, because of your past association with the first friend you may be pussed to an action that may damage your relationship with a potential friend.

Article Title:Pilots union warns of 'dry run' by possible terrorists on US flight
    Article Date:October 11, 2013
Who: Security,U.S. Airline Pilots Association,US Airways and the Transportation Security Administration,The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and terrorists
Where:Reagan National Airport in Washington Orlando
    When: September 2,2013
What happened: In the article it says,''Security experts for a major airline's pilot's union have warned members that potential terrorists conducted apparent "dry runs" aboard domestic flights in recent weeks, and urged flight crews not to be pressured into taking to the skies if they are fearful.'' Meaning that their could be terrorist attacks happening soon or that things are being planned for an attack.
It was said that ,''On a Sept. 2 flight from Reagan National Airport in Washington to Orlando, a "Middle Eastern" man rose from his seat and sprinted toward the cockpit, before veering sharply to go into the forward restroom, according to the memo. While he was in there, sever other men moved about the cabin, changing seats and going into overhead bins, it says. Experts said the incident could be an indication of another attempt to detonate a bomb aboard an airplane while midflight. But the US Airways and the Transportation Security Administration confirmed the incident. Four passengers aboard the flight were detained by local law enforcement authorities upon arrival in Orlando due to suspicious behavior during the flight, according to a statement by Michelle Mohr, a spokeswoman for US Airways. The TSA said in a statement the incident was checked out thoroughly.
Why this event is relevant: This event is relevant because people lives are in danger and something should be done quickly about the situation. And they need to have more ways of stopping attacks that could come there way.
Reaction: my reaction to this article was shocking because after the 911 incident and all the people lives that were taken you would think the government would have more ways on protecting the people the board these plans and ways to prevent more future attacks but it doesn't seem like it.
Opinion: I think that the government and the president should do more on trying to prevent people from getting into our country and doing these attacks they must be stopped.
Connection: my connection from this is all the story's about 911 so I found it very interesting that no change has been made to where there could possibly another attack coming our way.
