  1. 1.Article title: The title of this article is “Montana man arrested after “liking” his most wanted poster on Facebook.”

2.Article date: This article was published on May 4th, 2015.

Last month, a man was arrested because he liked his own wanted poster on Facebook. He was arrested on April 24th, after liking the post on the Cascade County Crimestoppers page. He later unliked the post, but, a newspaper caught a screenshot of his like before he unliked it. At only 23, Reardon was arrested for stealing a wallet and then writing, and cashing, fake checks. He made his first appearance in court last week, and his arraignment isn’t scheduled until Thursday.

I honestly chose this article because I found it funny. Why would someone like his own wanted poster? I don’t get why he would do that. I also chose this article because it connected to my personal life. I see wanted posters on facebook, or in stores, or on the internet a lot, and I never thought they really worked until now.

  2. Article title: Kansas: No spending welfare on movies, psychics and more
    Article date: April 16, 2015
Summary/reaction/opinion/connection: TWO PARAGRAPHS (10 sentences minimum) Kansas among other states are putting restrictions on what you can use your government assistance towards. They have put a ban on spending government assistance checks on trips to the movies, psychics, tattoos, nail salons and amusement parks. There have been 81 fraudulent cases that have been reported and the department has since been able to get their money back. New laws will be implemented so that individuals on public assistance will only be able to withdraw $25 a day from the ATM. Many states are now adding more things to the list of things you can spend government assistance checks on. I believe that there should have been a closer eye on the spending of people on government assistance. Many people abuse the money that they are given from the government. Essentially, they take advantage of the “free money” they are given and the people that actually need it are unable to get it. I also believe that there should be drug test implemented for people that are on welfare. Some people that are on government assistance abuse it; thus, they should not be granted the right to use the money that people pay in taxes. Ultimately, I think it is a great idea to put restrictions on how people can use their government assistance.

  3. Article title:Clinton calls for 'path to full and equal citizenship'
    Article date:Wed May 6, 2015
Hilary Cliton battles over immigration. In her First campaign in Nevada, the Democratic front-runner accused the GOP group of calling immigrants "second-class status." She wants a path to full and equal citizenship and is willing to push immigration reform, hoping it will be a big winner for Democrats in 2016. She leads former Florida Gov. Jeb B, whose family speaks Spanish and Sen. Marco R, who is of Cuban Heritage. She also once pushed for immigration reform in Congress. Latinos favored Clinton by a 2-to-1 margin in her 2008 Democratic battle against Obama. Things turned left when she failed to attempt into issues tied to immigration. For the first time, Clinton laid out reform proposals and plans to expand undocumented immigrants rights. Clinton is calling to protect the children parents as well and end the separation of families. I think this will be a good idea for Clinton if she can make a change for the immigrants and it will help her win for the election is she get more Latino support and I also think she learned her lesson from 2008.

  4. Title: The title of this article is DEA 'sex parties' report raises security concerns, Hill hearing scheduled."
Date: The date of this article took place on March 27, 2015!

Summary/ connection: This article is about how the law enforcement was having sexaul intercorses with prostitutes. The article brought concerns dangers worries to these people could have been for those officers and the United States.Furthermore, danger how it could have been dangerous was because the parties were mostly held in government panel. The government had a lot of information that could have been used for evidence and accusations. The hearing was on April 14 for the misconduct of the DEA.

I picked this article because it goes against the norm, different from the last article about the Baltimore attack, plus it is hard to find articles that interest me but this one seemed fun and easy for me to understand. Also I picked this article to read because it's not something that you would hear about on a regular basis, it's different from the police officers killing African American males etc.

  5. Article title: 6 Baltimore Police officers Charged in Freddie Gray death.
    Article date: May 1, 2015
Summary: A african american twenty five year old Freddie Gray, was killed by Baltimore police officers, on April 12 the day Freddie Gray was arrested,he was hurt and requested medical attention, but did not receive any, which later on lead to his death because of the reckless driving of one of the police officers involved. There is a lot of police officers who are being charged for the death of Freddie Gray. The driver has been sentenced to manslaughter because his driving critically hurt Freddie. Although many illegal actions took place after his death, the legal way to respond to the crime is taking place, Eddie’s lawyer is fighting to convict the ones responsible for his death. My reaction towards this is that police are taking advantage of their power and are treating minorities or everyone as if they are lower than them. I also think that the riots that followed after his death were reasonable to an extent. The beating of cops, I understand, bu the destroying of their community is uncalled for

  6. Title:TEENS' PROM PICTURE WITH GUNS AND A CONFEDERATE FLAG CAUSES CONTROVERSY

Article Date: Wednesday May 6, 2015

During the month of May many high schools celebrate and dress up of senior and junior year accomplishments. This is also the time for mom and dad to roll out the picture film to capture the moment and now post it online. Unfortunately, in Denver eight local teens who attend Chaparral High School decided to highlight their picture with a confederate flag while two female's hold up guns. This incident has brought up a huge debate between American's. Some say that this flag is apart of history while others find this extremely offensive and racist.

This article intrigued me and made me mad because this is yet another form of racism in its purest form. However, to play devil's advocate, some people does have the right to say that this is apart of history. But do that under the sheets so to speak because that is very offensive to African Americans who endured pain from that unfortunate pain. You don't see KKK members walking out with their white clothes freely or members of the Nazis supporting a swastika. What is challenging enough is that these are kids so they had to learn from somewhere.
