  1. Article title: The title of this article is, “Visiting from India, grandfather partially paralyzed after encounter with police.”
Article date: The date of this article is February 12, 2015.
    Summary/reaction/opinion/connection:

What happened in this article is a man visiting the US from India to help take care of his sick 17 month old grandson he got into an altercation with police that left him partially paralyed. The police involved say that they got a suspicious persons report and went on the call. When they arrived at the scene with the man they were telling him to put his hands to frisk him. The Indian man doesnt speak much english so the officers may ahve taken it as resistance. While the man wasnt responding to the police officers orders the grabbed and took the old man down which ultimately led to him not being able to have feeling in both his arms.

My reaction to this article is that I just dont understand why the police officers have to be so aggressive to such an old man. I understand that they’re just doing their job but sometimes it can just be a little too much. My opinion to this is that I just think they didn need to be so aggressive with him. Im sure they could tell he couldnt speak much english. The reason I chose this article is because its just sad to see something like this happen to an unthreatening man and a helpless man.

  2. Article title: Last Chance to Enroll in Obamacare for 2015

    Article date: February 12, 2015

This article is about how healthcare insurance deadline for Americans to apply is ending soon. The health advises Americans to take advantage of this opportunity by being able to have health care. Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act allows many citizens within the United States to have health insurance used as coverage to pay health expenses. However, a person who is qualified for healthcare in planning of 2015 is already covered under the law.

My reaction to this article is that, the Obamacare or ACA has been a success, because health care insurance has reduced the costs by making it affordable and improving Americans health. I think, the Obamacare is significant for people because the plan helps cover a person’s health for 2015. Another one is that, the Obamacare can help people when something occurs and they are unable to pay the insurance money for many reasons or other circumstances. I chose this article because it was meaningful to me, connects to the world and it dealt with the planning of health care of 2015.

Clinton Consults Experts to Chart Foreign-Policy Agenda

    Feb 13, 2015

Hillary Clinton appearance is highly anticipated with the backing of Democrats at her side. Wonderment of when she will arrive in the 2016 voting race has everybody anxious. Hillary where abouts are told that she has been preparing for the candidates. Secret meetings have been held by Hillary in attempts to plan how to solve the issues that have arisen during president Barack Obamas time and how she could be set apart by coming up with solutions on how to solve them. She plans on routing different paths of a strategic plan in order to solve the problems that are overseas if her position in the white house changes through the 2016 votes.

I think that there is a big possibility that Mrs. Hillary Clinton could become President of the United States in the year 2016. I also do believe that she has huge plans that would take very different approached from the soon to be former president Barack Obama. I am a little skeptical about the effectiveness of those plans. This event is very relative because it deals with the future of the person who is running the country in the future years. It is providing knowledge that may be the cause of new solutions in upcoming years or new problems.

  4. Article title: President Barrak Obama: 'YOLO man'
    Article date: February 12, 2015
This article talks about President Barrak Obama's effort to have American citizens sign up for his health care plan. Barrak Obama releases a video of Andrew Ilnyckyj. The video shows the two using a selfie stick to show the things that everyone does but never talks about. This may be an effort to help the citizens get comfortable and personal with the President. This is a good way to have the citizens relate to him on a more basic status because as the President he may seen to be at a higher power of being.
In my opinion Barrak Obama made a smart choice. Trying to relate to the people to get from the people is a good way to get what you want from the people. It also is helping him gain their trust and respect. I can connect this to when he was running for president. He had to say what the people wanted to hear in order to keep them interested. Also he had to promote himself in different ways to put himself on the map. Getting yourself on the map can open many opportunities for anyone.

  5. Article title: Bush Linked company blocked government contract for blind, disabled
    Article date:February 12, 2015
Summary/reaction/opinion/connection: TWO PARAGRAPHS (10 sentences minimum)
This article is about how Jeb Bush is trying to blocked a group of blind and disabled people from landing a government contract. The veteran affair department successfully argues that the VA improperly awarded a laundry service contract to a non-profit that helps find jobs for the disabled. I feel that it was not fair how the government treated the blind, and disabled being mean to them. Frates, Chris. “ CNN”.
