This article was published on November 30, 2015. This article involves suspect of Colorado shooting, Robert Dear, the judge of his case Judge Martinez, and authorities providing feedback about Robert Dear. This event took place in Springs, Colorado last Friday, November 27, 2015. Last Friday Robert Dear fatally shot three people during a rampage at a Planned Parenthood clinic, killing a Iraq war veteran, police officer, and mother of two. Nine other people were wounded and others hid in nearby businesses. Confusion rises while trying to figure out if Dear opposes abortion, but Dear stated "no more baby parts" while surrendering indicating that he does not want the birth of babies. Dear had is first court appearance today November, 30th. Judge Martinez placed the initial charge against Dear for murder in the first degree with a penalty of minimum life in prison and a maximum of death. Authorities said Mr. Dear turned a shopping center into a scene of carnage last Friday. This event is relevant because three people lost there lives because someone else was against abortions. I'm devastated that someone could actually go into a clinic where the motive is to help people but instead Robert Dear takes the lives of the people just needing customer service. I think this will never stop happening, I feel like there will always be someone against something else & they will go above and beyond to prove that point like Robert Dear did with abortions. I chose this article because it is recent and disappointing.

On December 2nd Hilary Clinton spoke at the Atlantic Council Women's Leadership in Latin America Initiative in Washington on Monday.It states that If Hilary Clinton is elected in 2016 than she would be the first woman president of the United States.They believe that accomplishing this his will be a powerful for female voters.This is relevant because she will be the first woman to ever become President of the United States.I feel as though her being the President will be a tremendous change amongst everything. beings though she is a female I wouldn't expect her to take on a role that a man would do as President. I believe that there will be too many responsibilities and too much pressure for her to handle. What happened: During a county health department employee holiday party, two shooters opened fire killing 14 people and injuring 17 others. The shooters quickly left the scene. A manhunt was set out for two suspects of the mass shooting. A police car spotted the suspects and pursued them. The woman suspect drove the car, while the male suspect shot out of it. The shootout left both suspects dead.
Why this event is relevant: Several people died during this tragedy. The world should be aware of these mass shootings that happen all too often.
Reaction: Honestly, I’m not surprised that someone would just open fire on a group of people like this. I do believe that this incident is a tragedy and the people were extremely in the wrong, but I know how there are wacky people out here and we are never truly out of harm’s way.
Opinion: I think that this is bad for America. I think that something better should be done about who is allowed firearms and who is not. It seems like all the wrong people are allowed the carry guns.

Article Title: Martha MacCallum: The untold story of the campus 'rape crisis'
Two college students were at a college party drinking too much when it began to turn into more than just partying. The 2 began kissing and touching. The girl’s friends who knew she was too drunk to make decisions for herself stopped what was going on and took their drunk friend to her dorm. The boy & girl who were kissing decided to begin to text each other and decided that they would link up later and have sex when the girls friends left. On her way to his dorm she threw up from being so drunk. The next morning they began texting again, the girl wanted to go collect her belongings from the night before. Neither the boy or girl could remember any details from the night before
Within the next 10 days the boy was being accused of rape. He had to go in front of the school’s judicial council. He was to report with no lawyer. The judicial court decided that he was responsible for that incident and many other rape incidents in the school. He had fit the description of the athletic campus rapist. This lead to him being expelled. This event is very crazy because I personally think he should not have been expelled from this college over a few accusations. Also just because he fit the description does not mean it was him that did the other rape crimes. The girl he had sex with had willingly went over to his dorm and they were both too drunk to make right decisions.
This is an example of why it is so critical to know your rights.

Why this event is relevant: This is relevant because Trump is a big candidate in this presidential campaign. If he wins and this policy is passed then its mainly going to benefit rich people like him.
Reaction: I think this was a very well hatched plan, but Trump isn't slick. He thought no one was going to pick up on that loophole. It almost worked but we learned a while back, almost everything Trump says has ulterior meanings.
Opinion: I think its a good plan it should just be a little more fair.

A husband and wife from California, walked into a conference center, and killed 14 people. President Obama is explaining that he wants Congress to pass a law forbidding those on the government's no fly list from being able to buy gun. So it can prevent things like that from happening. This event is relevant because of the terrorist attack that just happened in Paris. When I first read this article, I felt bad for the family of those 14 people, who were most likely innocent. In my opinion I think that the ISIS terrorist group is influencing people across the world to follow after their terrible ideologies. I chose this article because it showed how President Obama is trying to help prevent this from happening, by trying to pass a law to forbid any and everyone to buy guns.

However, Trump spoke on the live with Kelly and Michael show and says "thus has nothing to do with religion, its about safety". Reaction: I don't like what he is doimng because of is not fair to people who nature Muslim.
Opinion: I thinks that what he is trying to do is irrelevant and he is only doing this because he doesn't like the religion. I also think that he is doing this because mostly all terrorist are Muslims and he thinks that every Muslim is bad a and will don't he things that Muslim terrorist do.

Who: Involved were ISIS officials, President Barrack Obama, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Where: This took place in the Middle East.
When: This occurred in the recent four months.
What happened: As the war with ISIS in the West is becoming more heated, President Obama has decided to assist his allies in the combat by sending over Special Forces. He has spoken to other countries such as France and Britain to make sure that his troops would be protected in their efforts to destroy ISIS. Unfortunately, not everyone is willing to help. Saudi Arabia and the UAE refuse to step farther in ISIS’s battle due to their own agenda. The country of Saudi Arabia is more focused on occupying the territory of Yemen. This is because the country of Yemen has been at the center of war between Iran and Saudi Arabia about religion. They fail to see that if ISIS is not stopped, there will be no country for others such as Saudi Arabia to conquer. The UAE simply believes that fighting in a war will destroy their economy so in that case refuse to assist anyone else in destroying the ruthless terrorist group.
Why is this event relevant: This is relevant because the United States is helping other countries in the West against their battle with ISIS, and ISIS themselves could easily come for us. However, if they continue, they will terrorize the entire middle east in their views. Many people would die if ISIS gets their way.
Reaction: This angers me because other countries are getting their hands dirty with blood trying to defend each other, yet Saudi Arabia and Iran believe that a silly feud over religion is more major. Many more people are at risk dealing with ISIS.
Opinion: I think that the United States should enlist other allies to destroy ISIS, such as countries in Latin America because the more forces on our side, the higher the chance to kill ISIS.
Connection: A connection I made was the fact that Saudi Arabia is not participating is similar to the United States being indecisive about whether to join World War 2. They both have to face negative consequences.

Who: The school District of philadelphia made its decision to replace the principal Gene jones from monday night,then he also was replaced by two new co- principal. The principal was replaced because he couldn’t contain all the kids that were fighting and other circumstances.
Where:This happened in the Northeast philadelphia on December 7,2015
parents,students and also staff have been complaining about the discipline. That includes a fight from last month in which a boy was hospitalized after putting his fist through the window.
When: This happened on Monday December 7,2015 the school district reported this to everyone say ‘’we need to do something about this immediately. The school district says George Washington is the one of the most problematic schools in philadelphia. Philadelphia police says the incidents have to come up with new ideas ,on how to keep everyone safe.
What Happened: A high school principal couldn’t handle all the madness that students were doing. So therefore the school district is coming up with a safety plan to keep all the students safe on school grounds. Principle jones did everything in his power for the kids.
Why is this Relevant: This is relevant because Based on the school's behavior. The educators and students at George washington and across philadelphia are working and learning unbearable circumstances.
Reaction:This is devastating to hear the violence at this school. The violence needs to be seen by the school district and also the police.

Reaction: After reading this article i was shocked because id din't realize that it was that many mass shooting happening since 2008.
Opinion: I think, that the media will some how try to twist the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California into something having to do with islam.
Connection: I felt a connection to this article because overtime there is a mass shooting or a terrorist attack the media and society try to blame it on islam. Every terrorist attack they either blame muslims or tried to plead that the shooter was suffering from insanity. In reality, terrorism has no religion.
