When: Thursday Afternoon in Washington, D.C at the White House
What Happened: President Obama held a press conference at the White House Thursday afternoon. Obama addressed the situation about troops in Afghanistan. He said that US Troops will stay over seas for another year and more troops will be deployed into Afghanistan. This sparked media outrage. The Congress and the 2016 Candidates reacted to this. Governor Mike Huckabee took to twitter to say "How can we take @POTUS seriously when he releases Taliban leaders from #Gitmo, punishes US troops who stop rapists, & gives Bergdahl a pass?" One member of the Congress, Kevin McCarthy said on twitter "POTUS shouldn't continue his arbitrary troop drawdown until ground conditions & US national security interests allow for further reduction." Many people had almost similar opinions on this situation.
Why is this Event Relevant: This event is relevant because this is sending a bad message to so many people. The US is losing war supplies by the minute and the citizens of the United States wants the troops to come home.
Opinion: I think that the longer we keep US troops over in Afghanistan to fight, the more troops we lose. I do not think there is nothing to do in Afghanistan now after all, Syria and ISIS is our main problem.
Connection: I chose this article because this makes me look back into the past. My father served in the Vietnam War and if he had stayed in Vietnam and died, I would never be here enjoying the life that I have had for so long. He's in a better place, but that thought always creeps in my mind every waking day of the week.

What happened: Authorities have arrested a Malaysia-based hacker. They accuse him of stealing personal information of U.S military members and give it to ISIS. Ferizi is being extradited to the United States. He is expected to face U.S cybercrime chargers.
Why this event is relevant:This is relevant because important because the military data includes addresses , and photos. Which mean he could have sent a lot of people personal information.
Reaction (describe your feelings or attitudes) I'm really shocked this happen. I have questions for the Ferizi like why he do it , and was his freedom really worth it.
Opinion (I think..)I think this article need more information. I think we should know why did Ferizi hacked the system. Also I think we should know what's his relationship with ISIS.
Connection (why you chose this article)I choose this article because it's talks about how U.S military have been hacked and it's a chance that ISIS have our information.
